Huapango is a Mexican folk dance and music style based in triple time, played in various forms, the best known are three variants:
- Huapango típico (typical huapango) or Son huasteco: played by the trio huasteco
- Huapango norteño (northan huapango): played by conjunto norteño (northern groups)
- Huapango de mariachi.
The word "huapango" seems to be derived from Nahuatl word "cuauhpanco", literally "on the stage".
