English: HoneyBaked Ham is a company started in 1957 by Harry J. Hoenselaar in Detroit, Michigan. In his basement, he developed a special way to cook, slice and glaze ham. Hoenselaar invented the spiral slicer and marketed his idea to various companies. When no company was interested enough in his spiral slicer, he decided to open his own ham store.
