English: The Holy Trinity Column made in 1750. Located right before the Veszprém Catedral. The carved stone coat of arms of Biro Martin (who ordered the column) is seen at the feet of the Virgin Mary; a 'cronosticon' here indicates the time of construction. The artistically designed structure is decorated with statues and reliefs.The creators of this major works of Hungarian art were: Sculptor Ferenc József Schmidt and stonemason Tamás Walch. The stone fence with decorative figures made by decades later. Bishop Biro Martin thought that is very important to respect the Trinity; so he ordered every day must to hold a a Mass in front of the statue. At the top of the column visible the Trinity: the God Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, the last one is symbolizing as dove. At the middle level of the colum can be seen the statue of the Virgin Mary in his crown held Angels. One level down, at the corners are statues which are depicting St. Nicholas, St. Martin and St. John of Nepomuk. On the next level showing St. Stephen, St. Emeric and St. Florian. The stone fence decorated with beautiful statues of St. Sebastian, St. Roch and St. George. Saint Rosalia,-as a protector saint of epidemics ,- also appear on the column reliefs. An altar-table was carved the city's side of column, above its is a relief of equestrian figure of St. Martin. The group of sculptures made by carved sandstone.
