Most General Motors cars assembled in Australia until the 1950s had locally made Holden bodies usually along the same lines as the Fisher body or Vauxhall body but not identical

"J.A. Holden founded a new company in 1919, Holden's Motor Body Builders Ltd (HMBB) specialising in car bodies and utilising a facility on King William Street in Adelaide. . . . In 1931 General Motors purchased Holden Motor Body Builders and merged it with General Motors (Australia) Pty Ltd to form General Motors-Holden's Ltd (GM-H)." (Wikipedia)

Most North American cars made by General Motors had bodies made by Fisher. Cadillac also used other coachbuilders, notably Fleetwood
