The Hogbetsotso is the annual main festival at the Anlo-Ewe (Ghana), which takes place to the end of October/begin of November of an each year. The festival remembers on the exodus of the Ewe (together with any groups of the Ga) from the Dogbo-quarter of Notschie (Nodsie, Nuatiä, in Togo) during the rule of the tyrannical king Agokoli of Notschie in the 1670s.
