English: Hess & Eisenhardt was an American coachbuilding company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Emil E. Hess and Charles A. Eisenhardt, Sr. were with Sayers & Scovill since 1891 and acquired the assets of the company in 1942. They began manufacturing armored vehicles in 1946 and quickly became a world leader in the field. The company also engaged in more traditional coachbuilding activities, creating limousines and convertibles from various automobiles. In 1982 the armored car division became "O'Gara-Hess & Eisenhardt", located in Fairfield, Ohio. In 2001 the company was bought up by Armor Holdings, who retired the original names.
