English: Height barriers — used to prevent entry of and resulting damage by vehicles upon entering into, under, or onto structures and buildings — when their roofs are taller than the opening or ceiling height; or their size-weight is greater than a road can handle structurally or aesthetically.
- Often used at vehicular entrances to parking structures—underground parking; on approaches to built or natural features bridging or reaching over a transportation—circulation route, and at entrances to park roads and residential scale district streets.
