English: Hérissonné ("hedgehogged"/"urchined") is a heraldic attitude of several heraldic charges -- notably cats, hedgehogs and echidnas, and chestnuts. It indicates that part of the charge is spiny or has hairs standing on-end. It was developed by the Society for Creative Anachronisms (SCA) and as such has only scattered historical use that may be attributed to a freestyle description in Norman French.
