Grevillea robusta, the silky oak, has been planted ornamentally in a couple of locations in 7th Brigade Park. It is found in local rainforest and riparian areas not subject to fire. The flowers are borne in racemes on the outer branches in spring and are rich in nectar and attractive to birds, mammals and insects.
