Plot of ground marked with a fence said to be a colonial era grave at Old Spanish Fort, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Possibly apocryphal tradition calls it "The Grave of Sancho Pablo".
Local legend says this was the grave of an early colonial soldier who married a local "Indian Princess". Folklore sometimes names them as "Sancho Pablo" and "Owaisse". Variants say it her her grave, not his, or that they are both buried there. Sancho Pablo is sometimes described as "the first commander of Spanish Fort", although the name is not collaborated by period documentation. Ghost stories are sometimes part of the connected folklore.
