- Group burial marker of Royal Australian Air Force Pilot Officer Francis D. Milne and United States Army Air Corps Technical Sergeant Joseph E. Paul
Francis Debenham Milne was a member of a multinational flight crew killed November 26, 1942, on a World War II air mission. The remains of the crew were discovered in New Guinea in 1989. The remains of Milne and Tech. Sgt. Joseph E. Paul were individually unidentifiable, and were buried together in Section 34 of Arlington National Cemetery. As can be best determined, Milne is the only Australian buried at Arlington National Cemetery. More information
