The Granitic Seychelles Forests Ecoregion is a designated ecoregion by WWF and One Earth. It is classified as a Tropical & Subtropical Moist Broadleaf Forests Biome. It is one of three ecoregions in the Seychelles & Comoros Tropical Islands Bioregion.
The granitic islands of the Seychelles are the only mid-oceanic granitic islands on earth. There are 40 granitic islands in the Seychelles. The ecoregion also includes the surrounding islands of the Seychelles with the exception of the Aldabra Atoll of the Outer Seychelles (Coralline Seychelles) Islands; the Aldabra Atoll belongs to its own ecoregion, the Aldabra Island Xeric Scrub Ecoregion.
