English: Giovanni Antonio Nicolini da Sabbio was the oldest of six Nicolini brothers-typographers from Sabbio Chiese in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, which were active in Venice, Verona, and Rome, among other places. Giovanni Antonio's brothers were Stefano, Giovanni Maria, Pietro, Giacomo, and Lodovico. At first, they apprenticed at the printing shop of Andrea Torresano il Vecchio. Then they set their own press at calle del Forno a S. Fantino and started their printing activities resulting in many titles.
