English: A gin gang, wheelhouse or horse-engine was a building, usually circular, attached to a threshing barn. It held a small threshing machine powered by a horse which walked round and round. The horse in the gin gang could also power machinery outside the gin gang building. The gin was the small threshing machine, and the horse did the gang, or going. See also, Category:Threshing barns and Category:Threshing mills. To clarify: The gin gang is the building. The horse mill is the machine inside it. The horse powers the horse mill.
