English: Gerry McGovern is Land Rover Design Director. He designed the first generation Land Rover Freelander, when Land Rover formed part of Rover Group, and whilst with Rover Group, he was responsible for the MG-F sports car. He was involved with the design of the third generation Range Rover (L322) before leaving Rover Group in 1999. He joined Ford, working with their Lincoln and Mercury divisions. He rejoined Land Rover, then owned by Ford, in 2004, and was responsible for the Range Rover Evoque design. His work has included the designs for the fourth generation Range Rover (L405) and the second generation Range Rover Sport (L494), together with Richard Woolley.
