Owned by George M. and Stella Hoffman.

The store opened on January 10th, 1910 at 10th and Turner Street. In the beginning Hoffman traveled all over Allentown with a push-cart. Customer's purchases were scraped "loose" from barrels and bins and weighed on scales. Later, there was a delivery truck, and the groceries were packaged. He also turned the store into a self-service market. In 1926 as the chain-store era began, he was one of the founders of the Lehigh Wholesale Grocery Company in Allentown. He believed that independent grocers needed an organization to help them. Hoffman and his wife operated the market for 47 years until retiring in 1957, selling the store to a nephew, Paul A. Hoffman, who had worked at the store since 1923 as a meat cutter. The market eventually closed in August, 1971.

After George M Hoffman retired, he was active in the Phoebee - Devitt Homes, and was a director of the First National Bank of Allentown. George M Hoffman passed in March 1964; Stella Hoffman passed in December 1973; Paula A Hoffman, Sr, passed in October 1983
