George Irving Skinner (February 20, 1858 - March 13, 1926) was appointed as the superintendent of the New York State Banking Department in 1917. He was born in 1858. He attended the University of the State of New York from 1879 to 1883. He married Mary Elizabeth McCrae Skinner (1866-1951) around 1890. He was appointed as the superintendent of the New York State Banking Department in 1917. He died on March 13, 1926 of heart disease. He was buried in Saint Peters Churchyard in Bainbridge, New York.
