English: The Gayo-Alas Expedition (Gajo- en Alaslanden Expeditie) as an expedition in 1904 led by colonel G. C. E. van Daalen of the Korps Marechaussee te Voet through the Gayo and Alas countries in the highlands of Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia. Almost 3,000 villagers were killed during military actions by the Marechausse in May and June[1].
