Gasmaskfabriken i Brastad var Sveriges första industri för gasmasker. Tillverkaren var även först med att tillverka en "folkgasmask" i början av andra världskriget år 1939. Tillverkningen av gasmasker var relativt kortlivad och upphörde år 1942. Efter det övergick lokalerna till konfektionsföretaget Göteborgs Konfektions A-B som tillverkade herrkläder. Byggnaden har bevarad tidigfunktionalistisk karaktär med ett mycket flackt tak och småspröjsade fönster. Fasaden är putsad, men har vid senare tillfälle delvis klätts in i sinuskorrugerad plåt. Byggnaden har en hög, murad skorsten i rött tegel. 2023 står byggnaden mestadels tom. Delar används av en köksinstallationsfirma och som lager.

The gas mask factory in Brastad was Sweden's first industry for gas masks. The manufacturer was also the first to produce a "gas mask for the general population" at the beginning of World War II in 1939. The production of gas masks was relatively short-lived and ceased in 1942. After that, the premises were transferred to the Göteborgs Konfektions A-B clothing company, which produced men's clothing. The building has preserved its early functionalist character with a very flat roof and small slatted windows. The facade is plastered, but has at a later date been partially clad in corrugated sheet metal. The building has a tall chimney made of red brick. In 2023, the building is mostly empty. Part of it is used by a kitchen installation company and for storage.
