English: The Glengarry was a four-masted iron/steel barque, built 1890 by Alexander Stephen & Sons Dundee (Yard No 91) for own account. 1898 sold to Thomas Shute, Liverpool. On Nov 03 1906 stranded on the Clatsop Sands in the entrance to the Columbia River on voyage from Junin to Portland, OR.
Her dimensions were: length × beam × depth = 292 × 42 × 24 ft (89 × 12.8 × 7.3 m) and she had a tonnage of 2294 GRT and 2169 NRT. Rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails. [1]
