The photographic studio of de:G. R. Lambert & Co. was founded by G.R. Lambert from Dresden, who came to Singapore in 1875. It operated from c. 1875 to c. 1919 and had branches in Deli, Sumatra (mid-1880s); Kuala Lumpur; and Bangkok (c. 1895). The largest business in the Malay Peninsula, the firm was possibly wound up during World War I: G R Lambert and Co.
