Jewish photographer originally from Germany who emigrated to Mandatory Palestine in 1937. After the formation of the State of Israel and the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, he became the Chief Photographer of the Israeli Government Press Office. Cohen documented many of the early events in Israel's history.
