Franklin Court is a courtyard in Philadelphia where Benjamin Franklin lived in the late 1700s. The courtyard is located between 3rd Street and 4th Street with entrances on Market Street (a covered walkway) and Chestnut Street (a walkway). Franklin Court is part of Independence National Historical Park. The interior of the courtyard contains the "Ghost Houses," steel structures representing Franklin's house and the workshop he built for his grandson. Also located within the courtyard is the Benjamin Franklin Museum. The buildings at 314-322 Market Street are also considered part of Franklin Court. They include the Printing Office and Fragments of Franklin Court', both museums, and the B. Free Franklin post office operated by the United States Post Office.
