Fountain Park is located along Martin Luther King Drive, in Allentown. It is located south of MLK Drive and the north side of the Little Lehigh Creek. It streteches from South Jefferson Street in the west to South Penn Street on the east. It is one of Allentown's oldest parks, formally established in 1911, however the land was called "Fountain Park" as early as 1888. The park was founded out of a need for public playgrounds. It origionally consisted of a baseball diamond on a small lot at South 10th street and what was then Lawrence Street (Now MLK Boulevard). Today, the park has three baseball/softball fields, two basketball courts, one soccer field, and a playground. The park is a hub of activity on weekends, hosting local league games, tournament play and a Sunday adult soccer league.

The Fountain Park Swimming Pool first opened in 1930. It was closed at the end of the 2005 summer season
