On several pictures one can see that a hilltop near the Upper Church holds a large building. Searching the web it is hard to identify, but it seems to have been a fortified building to most viewers. Some call it fortress, others castle. A huge flag indicates its position, and that often is a decoration for a "kale", castle or fortress.
