English: In 1313, a legacy of Raymond Ruffi allows to built outside the city walls, near the Porte of France the Knights' Hospital where, in 1483 ,are bring together all the Hospices of Nîmes to form the Hôtel-Dieu. Constantly redesigned and expanded ,its monumental gate was built in 1740 by the architect Spirit Dardailhon. In 1830 the Hotel-Dieu is completely rebuilt to become the Hospital Ruffi, whose main facade opens onto the street of the Republic. In the 20th century the hospital moved to Ales road and the buildings are occupied by the Chamber of Commerce.
Español: En 1313, un legado de Raymond Ruffi permite de construir fuera de las murallas, cerca de la Puerta de Francia, el Hospital de los Caballeros donde fueran juntos, en 1483, todos los Hospices de Nîmes para formar el Hôtel-Dieu. Constantemente rediseñado y ampliado su puerta monumental fue construida en 1740 por el arquitecto Espíritu Dardailhon. En 1830, el Hôtel-Dieu está completamente reconstruido para convertirse en el Hospital Ruffi, cuya fachada principal da a la plaza de la República. En el siglo 20 el hospital se trasladó por carretera de Ales y los edificios fueron ocupados por la Cámara de Comercio.
Français : En 1313, un legs de Raymond Ruffi permet de construire hors les murs, près de la Porte de France, l' Hôpital des Chevaliers où seront regroupés en 1483 tous les hospices de Nîmes pour y former l'Hôtel-Dieu. Constamment réaménagé et agrandi, son portail monumental est édifié en 1740 par l'architecte Esprit Dardailhon. En 1830 l'hôtel-Dieu est entièrement reconstruit pour devenir l'Hôpital Ruffi, dont la façade principale ouvre sur la rue de la République. Au 20° siècle l'hôpital est déplacé route d'Alès et les bâtiments sont occupés par la Chambre de Commerce.
