Located in the middle of the Piazza di Santa Chiara is the newest fountain in Assisi. With an octagonal basin in white limestone and travertine, it is decorated with panels in pink Subasio stone. It was completed in 1872 by local craftsmen. Decorated with a curved dolphin in the middle of the basin sitting on rocks and holding up a stone dish from which the water cascades into the basin.
