Fountain Blaut.

[edit]

The fountain would have been called first Fontaine Bliaud or Fontaine Blaut name of the dog of François 1 ° who would have discovered it. In the sixteenth century it bears the name of Fontain Belle-Eau which finally gave its name to the castle: FontaineBleau. During the arragement of the Bois des Pins into the English Garden, the fountain is staged in a romantic grove where it surge under a urn upon a column, before flowing into a small basin. One can gaze to her sitting on a bench at the foot of a Nymph who offers her a Crown, a promise of fame.
