This stone monument was the first memorial to Franklin Delano Roosevelt that was constructed in Washington, D.C. It is located on a lawn near the southeast corner of Pennsylvania Avenue NW and Ninth Street NW on the grounds of the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C. The bronze plaque expresses Roosevelt's desire for the size and location of the memorial.
