Deutsch: Das Feldartillerie-Regiment „Groß-Komtur“ Nr. 71 der Preußischen Armee wurde mit Stiftungstag vom 25. März 1899 gegründet. Das Regiment hatte seine Garnison in Graudenz (Stab und I. Abteilung in der Neuen Artillerie-Kaserne, Lindenstraße Nr. 46/50 sowie II. Abteilung in der Alten Artillerie-Kaserne, Lindenstraße Nr. 14) und Marienwerder (zeitweise). In der Friedensgliederung bis 1914 gehörte das Regiment zur 35. Feldartillerie-Brigade (Sitz in Graudenz), diese zur 35. Division (Sitz in Thorn), und diese zum XVII. Armee-Korps (Sitz in Danzig).
