Deutsch: Die Emmy-Noether-Allee ist ein Straße in Hannover in den Stadteilen Bemerode und Mittelfeld. Sie wurde im Jahr 2000 nach der deutschen und US-amerikanischen Mathematikerin Emmy Noether (1882-1935) benannt. Noether gilt als Begründerin der modernen Algebra und war die erste Frau, die sich in Deutschland in Mathematik habilitieren konnte. Aufgrund nationalsozalistischer Gesetzgebung konnte Emmy Noether ab 1933 ihre Lehrtätigkeit nicht weiter ausüben und emigrierte in die USA. Die Deutsche Forschunggemeinschaft (DFG) hat ein Förderprogramm für herausragend qualifizierte Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen und Nachwuchswissenschaftler nach ihr benannt.
English: Emmy-Noether-Allee is a street in Hannover (Germany) in the districts of Bemerode and Mittelfeld. It was named after the German mathematician Emmy Noether (1882-1935). She is considered the founder of modern algebra and was the first woman to habilitate in mathematics in Germany. Due to National Socialist legislation, Emmy Noether was no longer able to pursue her teaching activities from 1933 onwards and emigrated to the USA. The German Research Foundation (DFG) has named a funding programme for outstandingly qualified young researchers after her.
