English: Since 1953 the Embassy of Myanmar has been located at 2300 S Street NW in Washington, D.C. The building was originally the private residence of businessman Thomas M. Gales. It was designed by Appleton P. Clark Jr. and built in 1903. The building is a contributing property to the Sheridan-Kalorama Historic District. The most well-known previous owner of the building is President Herbert Hoover, who lived there before and after his presidency.
