In heated electronic vacuum tubes used in electronics, mainly in amplifiers like the old-style audio amplifier tubes mostly depicted below, there are two light phenomena. The orange glow comes from the electric heating used to promote electron flow, while the blueish glow stems from electric discharge of gas ions in the mostly evacuated tube.
