Media files concerning the chronologically fourth Elbe bridge south of Wittenberg, whose bridge piers of natural stone were completed in 1846 and whose wooden superstructure incl. deck was exchanged subsequently in the years 1886/1887 and 1907. It was repaired to auxiliary bridge status in 1946 and presumably had its last major overhaul in 1965 before it was torn down regularily in the year 2000.

From 1859 until 2000 another bridge, situated upstream in parallel, existed to accommodate rail operation; similar to the road bridge it was modified first in 1888, then 1906. Most pictures from 1859 on show both bridges, which is why this category hosts pictures of both subjects.
