English: The former East River Savings Bank building at 743 Amsterdam Avenue at West 96th Street in the Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1926-27 as the first branch of the bank, and was expanded in 1931-32. It was designed in the Classical style by Walker & Gillette, who also designed the expansion, which doubled the number of bays facing Amsterdam Avenue. It features Ionic columns in the Greek fashion, with no pedestals. The building was designated a New York City Landmark in 1998. It is now shared by a CVS pharmacy and the Montclare Children's School, a private pre-school.
