Tandis que l’abbé Cordier rejoint la maison Bariod, Cambefort and Cie, la maison Chapelain est rachetée en 1874 par Lelièvre, imprimeur du Journal des Andelys qui s’associe avec Dumont et créé l’orgue médiophone (1874), le système stictophone-Dumont (1879) et le coriphone-contrebasse (1887). À la mort de Léon Dumont (1888), la production est poursuivie par sa veuve et par son fils Alphonse Dumont qui se constituent en société Dumont et Cie en 1893, modifiée en 1903 sous la raison sociale Dumont-Lelièvre et Cie. Les petits-fils de Léon Dumont, André et Lucien Dumont, poursuivent l’activité après la Première Guerre mondiale. "

- "Dumont & Lelievre House installed in 1861 in Andelys (Eure), by Abbé Cordier, harmonium maker established since 1855 in Hacqueville, under the business name Guillot-Potel, then from 1861, in association with Chapelain, former notary (Chapelain house and co). The manufacture of harmoniums was then entrusted to organbuilder Léon Dumont, who in 1871 filed the patent for the harmoniphrase, certainly the most successful system of attempts at harmonizing and self-accompanying mechanisms. While the Abbé Cordier joined the Bariod, Cambefort and Cie house, the Chapelain house was bought in 1874 by Lelièvre, printer of the Journal des Andelys who joined forces with Dumont and created the médiophone organ (1874), the stictophone- Dumont (1879) and the coriphone-contrabass (1887). On the death of Léon Dumont (1888), production was continued by his widow and his son Alphonse Dumont who formed the company Dumont et Cie in 1893, modified in 1903 under the name Dumont-Lelièvre et Cie. The grandsons of Léon Dumont, André and Lucien Dumont, continued the activity after the First World War. "
