The Duesenberg Walking Beam engine is a internal combustion engine with overhead valves that are directly activated by two-foot long rocker arms. There were 4 cylinder engines in very few Maytag and Mason automobiles, from which the very successfull 4 cylinder Duesenberg racing engines were derived. Early versions have two valves per cylinder, later (ca. 1916+) four.
The Duesenbergs built Walking Beam engines also for marine and aircraft use, with up to 12 cylinders.
