English: Dong'ao Peak is a mountain with an elevation of 821 metres (2,694 ft) that is located within the Central Mountain Range on the border between Su'ao Township and Nan'ao Township, Yilan County. In the Mandarin Chinese language, the “Dong'ao Peak” is pronounced as an “Dong'ao Ling”, so it can also be spelled Dong'aoling. The name Dong'ao usually not written as Dongao because the purpose of the ' symbol in order to avoid mispronunciation, such as pronounce Dong Ao as Don Gao.
