English: The District Railway Guide to London (1888)
(Some advertisements have been omitted)

This is a useful book, printed in large type, but not too big to be carried in the pocket. It gives us maps of London conveniently arranged in sections, with a key ; and, following these, a variety of information about various localities in London, interesting churches, and the like. Then the Inner Circle line is followed from station to station, beginning with Aldgate. As we come to each station, the objects of interest within reach are mentioned and described. This is done in an intelligent and readable way. Some information about the railways having their terminuses in London, lists of cab-fares, &c., are then given. (Spectator, 21 April 1888 [1])

A detailed index to the multi-page map can be found on pp. 29–38 (pp. 37–46 of the pdf)
