Built in 1911, this Prairie School-style house at 514 North Carroll Street in Madison was designed by Claude and Starck for Dr. William Beacroft and his wife Lucy Beacroft. The house today serves as part of the Delta Gamma sorority at the University of Wisconsin, which also occupies the larger house to the northwest.

The building draws clear inspiration from the Prairie School houses of Frank Lloyd Wright as well as more subtle inspiration from the Arts and Crafts movement. It is clad in red Flemish bond brick, featuring a gabled roof with stucco cladding with trim that accentuates the geometric shape of the gables, art glass casement windows with decorative glass surrounding central clear panes, engaged columns between grouped windows on the second floor, brick pilasters at the corners, and an oriel window on the side with a gabled roof. It is clad in stucco with panels outlined by trim painted in a contrasting color and features a door leading to a metal balcony, a stone base, a front porch surrounded by low walls with a suspended canopy above, and a front door flanked by art glass sidelights.

It is a contributing structure in the Mansion Hill Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
