Northeast of Paroikia, on the other side of the bay, on a hill overlooking Delos, was in the 9th-8th century BC established a shrine dedicated to Artemis and Apollo Delios. The temple was erected in the 6th century BC. In the (early?) 5th century BC the temple was replaced by another. It was made of marble, large 9.50 m by 6 m, dedicated to Apollo Delios. There was found an archaic statue of the goddess Artemis. Shrine to the east of the temple was dedicated to Artemis. Not far from this "Delion" is an open-air sanctuary (2.50 x 2 m).
