English: The Degar people or Dega — indigenous peoples of the Central Highlands (Tay Nguyen) of Vietnam, and parts of Cambodia and Laos.
  • "Degar people" is an umbrella term for various Highlands tribes. Degar is derived from from two words: "De" = people; and "Gar" = all, a name the Ê-đê people call themselves. Also known as the Montagnard ("mountain people" in French).
  • There are over 30 different Degar tribes.
