De Dion-Bouton Type J was a model in the make's front-engined series. Derived from the 8 CV Type K chassis, the only difference is the smaller engine with 90 mm bore × 110 mm stroke, which gives a displacement of 700 cc. Power is 6 h.p., which was also the vehicle's French tax rating. The same engine was used in the Type L Vis-à-vis.
Type J was offered from 1901 to 1902.
