Darracq-Serpollet & Cie was formed when Frank L. Gardner sold his share in Gardner-Serpollet to Alexandre Darracq in 1906. The company manufactured only steam lorries and buses, and was so successful that Darracq soon commissioned new plant in Suresnes, followed soon by the establishment of a British subsidiary, the Darracq-Serpollet Omnibus Company located in London at 2 Coleman Street, with premises at Walnut Tree Walk, Lambeth. Guess is that c. 1000 vehicles were built in Suresnes, and 500 in London, the ladder mainly with bus bodies.
