English: The Dakota 38 are 38 Dakota men who were publicly executed in December 1862 in Mankto, Minnesota, due to their involvement in the Dakota War of 1862. An additional 2 Dakotas were executed in 1865 at Fort Snelling for their involvment, leading to the useage of Dakota 38+2.
