English: Dacianus (also sometimes called Dacien and Datianus) was praeses under Diocletian and Maximian in the Roman provinces of Lusitania and Hispania Citerior. He is mainly known as prosecutor during the Diocletianic persecution through hagiographical texts of Christian martyrs. See Arnold Hugh Martin Jones, John Robert Martindale, John Morris: The Prosopography of the Later Roman Empire (PLRE). Vol. 1, Cambridge University Press, Cambridge 1971, p. 244.
