The large and opulent Bemposta monstrance belonged to the Palace of Bemposta Chapel, and was made in Lisbon before 1777 by the jeweller Adam Gottlieb Pollet and others, probably following a design by the architect Mateus Vicente de Oliveira. It is made of gold, silver gilt and a great variety of gems including diamonds, emeralds, rubies, amethysts and topazes. Nowadays belongs to the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, Lisbon, Portugal.
