Trails No. 9 and 10 have a common trailhead at the Nature Center Trail and parallel each other for the first 1.5 to 2 miles (2.4 to 3.2 km). Trail 10 follows the level marsh border, while Trail 9 travels up and down the interdune ridge and valley system. Two cross trails link the two through this area, allowing hikers to use short sections of each.
