During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and related lockdown, a "snake" made from decorated rocks was arranged in Lesnes Abbey Woods, London Borough of Bexley. Encouraged via social media (especially the "Bexley Painted Rocks" Facebook group), it followed on from a similar (and much larger) creation at Bursted Wood in Barnehurst, London Borough of Bexley. The "snake" grew to include several hundred stones, located at the northern side of the woods, to the south of the medieval abbey ruins. Another two examples of such "snakes" were also created in Bexley Woods.
