English: County Bus & Coach was formed in 1989 from the Harlow, Grays and Hertford garages of London Country North East. The company used these brand names on top of a common base livery of dark green & cream - Grays garage was ThameSide, Harlow was TownLink, and Hoddesdon (later moved to Ware) was Lea Valley. Initially owned by AJS Group (who had also owned London Country North East), it later passed through various owners - Lynton Travel Group in 1991, West Midlands Travel in 1994, and finally Cowie Group in 1997. The separate identity of County's brands were retained through these changes, but were eventually phased out after Cowie conducted a group wide rebranding as Arriva, with County Bus & Coach being renamed Arriva East Herts & Essex Ltd in 1998.
